General Sir Felix Fordati Ready GBE KCB CSI CMG DSO (2 August 1872 - 1940) was Quartermaster-General to the Forces.

Military career

Educated at Wellington College, Ready was commissioned into the Royal Berkshire Regiment in 1891.[1] He took part in the Nile Expedition and the Siege of Khartoum and also the Second Boer War.[1]

He served in World War I as Adjutant-General in Mesopotamia.[1] He was appointed General Officer Commanding Northern Ireland District in 1926, before becoming General Officer Commanding 1st Infantry Division at Aldershot in 1929 and then Quartermaster-General to the Forces in 1931; he retired in 1935.[2]

Family

In 1870 he married Marguerite Violet Daisy Cotterill.[1]
